System Engineer – Automation & Control Solutions (closes 25th September 2020)

THE TEAM: With a team of over 45 full time staff, we focus on industrial projects predominantly within the Metals, Mining and Utility industries and provide a range of capabilities offering full life cycle Services for our customers – from concept to commissioning. Our delivery teams consist of project managers, engineers, technicians, electricians, welders, fitters and riggers and supported by hardware sales. Key specialist skills include process automation and electrical engineering, HAZOP andRisk Assessments as well as Functional Safety and Hazardous Area applications. The company offers Industry 4.0 IIoT solutions to an expanding market.
THE ROLE: This is a junior position offering a graduate with practical experience an excellent opportunity to develop your technical skills and gain valuable hands on site based experience. The successful candidate will join our Engineering Team, contributing to key projects and supporting our existing customer base. The core duties are: • Developing, testing and commissioning of PLC, DCS and SCADA systems. • Electrical Design – Low Voltage Distribution, Control Systems and Instrumentation • On-site customer support, including process improvements, fault-finding and shutdowns. • Supporting the existing engineering team as required.
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will have Australian residency and able to live within proximity to the Wollongong or Southern Sydney region of NSW. Key attributes should include; • Hands on familiarity with PLCs with a disciplined approach to programming and validation • Allen Bradley Control Logix and Citect experience is a distinct advantage • Degree in Electrical Engineering (the substitution of experience for the degree is acceptable) • Ability to work unsupervised and be highly self-motivated • 2-5 years relevant industry experience
The renumeration depends on the skills and experience you can deliver in our environment. A range of $95,000 to $115,000 plus superannuation is expected There are good opportunities to advance both with proven performance and experience.
